Extension to our T700 engine MRO support contract for MH-60R Seahawks will create new jobs

The United States Naval Air Systems Command has awarded a five-year extension to our contract for T700-GE-401C engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. Following this agreement, we are committing to creating new jobs in Queensland.

This extension will see us continue to support Commonwealth maritime operations by providing through-life support for T700 engines fitted to the Royal Australian Navy’s MH-60R (Romeo) Seahawk fleet.

As the Royal Australian Navy’s next-generation submarine hunter and anti-surface warfare helicopter, the MH-60R Seahawk is an important part of its current and future operations.

With the contract worth approximately US $5 million per year, we will create new employment opportunities for apprentices. Our state-of-the-art facilities are a world-leading training ground for technicians, and we are proud to play our part in developing future talent.

Our history supporting maritime operations

With full-service MRO capabilities, we have a long association with the Royal Australian Navy, United States Navy and GE Aviation.

We have provided engine MRO services to the Royal Australian Navy for the last 20 years, and the signing of this new contract will see this service continue to December 2025.

By continuing to invest in training opportunities for new apprentices, we are future-proofing our team to continue working with the Royal Australian Navy well into the future.
